I recently was asked by Locale Magazine to do a fashion shoot for Grayse at Desert Trip. The only problem was that press passes had long ago been snatched up and professional cameras were strictly forbidden at the festival. I considered shooting from the hip with a GoPro Hero 4, a camera that continually surprises me for its quality output, but I just couldn't bring myself to give up the kind of control that a DSLR offers. Time to turn to my sneaky little Sony mirrorless, nimble enough to easily pass through security. No, I don't like giving up my full-frame camera with a good 85mm lens, but it can be liberating to work with limitations, especially with a forgiving model such as Erin!
